PQ on the Commercial Directorate

Mark Oaten: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate he has made of the costs of running the Commercial Directorate since it was established.

Mr Bradshaw: The Department's Commercial Directorate was established in 2003-04. The direct running costs to 2007-08, which relate to civil servant pay and non-pay costs, are shown in the following table.
