Mark Oaten Gauges Constituents Views on the Cost of Living

Mark Oaten is sending out a survey to constituents on the cost of living in an attempt to see how they are coping with the reported increases in prices across the board.  

With news coming out daily about the rise in the cost of living Mark is in the process of sending out a survey to give constituents a chance to inform him of how the credit crunch is hitting the community and residents finances.

The survey gives people the chance to air their views and experiences and answer questions relating to food, housing, heating fuel and petrol prices. it follows Mark’s involvement with the Business & Enterprise Select Committee’s inquiry into energy prices but with costs reportedly rising in a number of areas Mark is keen to gain constituents views on a wide range of issues.

It has already been distributed in much of Winchester and will soon go out in the Meon Valley. It is also available to fill out online at: http://www.libertyresearch.org.uk/take/401

“If you are anything like me you will be feeling the pinch. Im struggling with the increased costs like I know a lot of other people are and Im using this survey to try and find out peoples views - how you are all coping.

“I think it would be really good if as many of my constituents as possible could send this survey back, or fill it in online, to give me a good idea of the current mood so I can feed this back into my parliamentary work.
