Mark Reaffirms Support for Former Equitable Life Policyholders

With the campaign to compensate former Equitable Life policyholders ongoing and still unresolved, and following a number of constituents contacting him about the issue, Mark has reaffirmed his support for compensation calls.

Mark has supported the campaign, which involves a number of his constituents, for some time signing numerous Early Day Motions and writing to the Government regarding the issue.

The Winchester MP can now confirm that he has signed the latest EDM tabled by his Liberal Democrat colleague Vince Cable, EDM 1423 and has also become a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Justice for Equitable Life Policyholders.

Commenting today Mark said:

"I am of course going to write back to everyone who gets in touch but I wanted to let people know that I continue to support the calls for compensation for Equitable Life holders.

"I think the fact that the Ombudsman has deemed it fit to write to MP's again to criticise the response to her recommendations speaks volumes and I know this is an issue which will not go away.
