Today I was honored and humbled by being featured as one of A Life Set Free’s “11 Up & Coming Minimalist Bloggers You Should Know About.” If you see the other — much more talented — bloggers featured there, you’ll understand why. Thanks again Marianne!
It was just recently that I realized that my goals and aspirations are parallel with a minimalist approach to life. In fact, when starting this blog, I didn’t realize that “minimalism” even applied to me.
I’m not saying I’m ready to sell all of my stuff and live in a tent (although my husband has accused me of that exact plan), but I’ve truly been embracing this whole less is more mindset for quite some time.
Doesn’t it become tiresome running in circles on the hedonic treadmill but never getting anywhere? It did for me.
That’s why I’ve decided to stop running. I started blogging to connect with other people that have also decided to take a step back, and decide if their chosen life is one they wish to continue, or if they’re ready for a change too.
I’m figuring out rather quickly, I’m not alone on this journey.
I’ve already stumbled across many bloggers out there that are changing their lives the same way I am. And because of the post A Life Set Free released today, I’ll now be able to connect with — and learn from — even more people on the same path as me.
That’s amazing to me.
It seems like the more time I spend on this planet, the smaller it gets.
